Random Question

Today I am going from ‘Monday Recipes’ to ‘Monday Random Questions’. So here we go…

 I will start with a two-part question.

  1. If you could suddenly be granted any talent, what would you choose?
  2. What would you give up to gain the talent of your choice?

If I could gain any talent I believe it would be to “Forgive, and Forget” I think that the idea is a wonderful one but that the reality of it is much harder than anticipated. Many say they do but if that was true wouldn’t we all be making mistake after mistake instead of learning. I mean after all we have forgotten right?

In order to gain this talent I think I would choose to give up anger, and discontent.

Tamara, it is wonderful to hear from you! I can only say that for me, when I was unable to forgive, I am the one who suffered the most because I was extremely full of anger, hurt and bitterness. I finally learned to trust God and his promises enough to let things go and when I did, it was like a HUGE load was lifted from my shoulders and my heart. I will pray that you can learn to forgive and give up your anger and discontentment.

As far as forgetting, I am glad I can remember, especially all of the mistakes I personally have made in my life. I don’t ever want to repeat them and if I can’t remember them I am could make the same mistakes again.

I fake it by playing a lot of songs in the key of “L” … at least people are always telling me my playing sounds like L.

    You are too funny!

I’m humbled by Judy’s answer. I didn’t even give consideration to eradicating earth’s ills. I just thought of Greg and what I would want! But it would be to play piano far better than I do. However, if I were suddenly granted the talent, why would I have to give up anything? (Selfish me!) Truth is, I could give up time and rearrange my priorities and still become a far better piano player than I am. But why at my age?

I loved Judy’s answer too! You aren’t being selfish, just telling it like it is. From what I gather you really are quite talented. 🙂

Aside from the loftier goals of eradicating all diseases, pain, hunger, poverty, ensure world peace, etc.? 🙂

    Play the piano.

I’d trade my taste for potato chips for the ability.

I too would LOVE to be able to play the piano; and of course the first things you mentioned. 🙂
